bellexms.gif, which I've dubbed "Christmas Belleringer" (and I'll be getting a lot of buckets tossed at me for that bad pun once you see the picture for yourself...:-) depicts Belle, from Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST wishing everyone a happy holiday season.

I realize this is a bit out of season, but I wasn't in a position to scan and post this when it was, so I hope you'll forgive the little faux pas. disnxmas.gif is a scan of a depiction of what a Disney holiday company party at ToonTown might be like. Thirteen of the characters from three recent Disney animated movies (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin) are depicted here celebrating the spirit of Christmas with many of the time-honored traditions often associated with the season--decorating the tree, stringing popcorn-tinsel, lighting Christmas candles (it shouldn't be hard to figure out who's doing that...:-), exchanging presents, buying presents at the last minute (Eric and Aladdin, like many men, are probably off pounding desperately on store windows on Christmas Eve and are only represented by their stockings ;-), and, of course, shaking one's own presents to figure out what's inside. :-)

This is actually part of a handmade Christmas card that Bob sent me. Definitely more interesting than most of the stuff from Hallmark, and it saves money to boot! :-) Needless to say, Bob's personal holiday greetings to me have been deleted, since you don't need to see that.

And if you want to be on Bob's Christmas card mailing list, well, you'll just have to take it up with him. :-)

"EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! THE BOYS OF SUMMER HAVE A WOMAN PLAYER!"

Here's a dime, kid. Thanks...say, haven't I seen you someplace before?

"That's right, ma'am! I was an extra on _Newsies_!"

<blank stare> "You know, the latest Disney live-action musical? About a bunch of orphans winning a newspaper strike? Based on a true story?"

Oh, I remember. How'd it do?

"Well, lady, if it made any money, do you think I'd still be hawking newspapers on the street? Just read yours! EXTRA EXTRA...."

Lousy reprobate!....<opening paper> -----

LOS ANGELES - In a surprising development in the amateur draft, the Los
Angeles Dodgers selected the first woman ever, Belle, best known for
her role in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast". When asked about their
groundbreaking choice, the Dodgers' general manager said, "Hey, if she
can swing a tree branch hard enough to send a wolf flying, we figure
she has home run power. And from that snowball scene, it looks like
she has a pretty accurate arm. We're going to try her at shortstop in
spring training." The Walt Disney Company said they would arrange a
leave of absence for Belle, and wished her well in her new career.

_A Mermaid_ (Pl.55) is one of his most delicate conceptions, and understandably he has lingered long in bringing it to perfection....The mermaid combs her hair while the small waves turn endlessly behind her on the sea-margin and the massive rocks. As always, Waterhouse is able to capture the natural moment of stillness; the comb pressed to the end of the auburn tress, the parted lips and dreaming eyes speaking of thoughts far away...

_A (Disney) Mermaid_ (388x476x2, 6122 bytes) is one of his most delicate conceptions, and understandably he has lingered long in bringing it to perfection...The mermaid combs her hair while the small waves turn endlessly behind her and her finned friend on the sea-margin and the massive rocks. As always, Ito is able to capture the natural moment of stillness; the dinglehopper pressed to the end of the auburn tress, the parted lips and dreaming eyes speaking of princes on land far away, the cup she stole from another Disney movie...

One of the most romantic scenes in the Disney movie BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is the fireplace scene, where Belle and Beast enjoy a moment reading together by the warmth of the hearth after playing in the snow. It is here, where the song "Something There" concludes, that the two begin to acknowledge the love blossoming between them. This image celebrates these growing bonds and depicts a hypothetical scene after the end of the song, in which the two get more comfortable as they read. Belle is snuggling up to the warmth of Beast's side, while he looks on fondly upon her. You can almost hear his thoughts of love going through his mind....

In short, a very charming and romantic scene. And NO, there's nothing kinky--they didn't get *that* comfortable. :-)
